Frequently asked questions
How do I connect my Strava account?

Go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect next to Strava. You'll be redirected to Strava to authorize the connection.

How does gear tracking work?

Once your Strava account is connected, sync your activities from the dashboard. TriCloset matches each activity to the gear you were using and accumulates distance and time.

What is a TriVerify report?

A TriVerify is a verified usage report for your bike — similar to a Carfax for cars. It shows total distance, condition grade, maintenance history, and an estimated resale value. You can share it with potential buyers.

How is the estimated resale value calculated?

The estimate is based on your bike's age, total distance ridden, and TriVerify condition grade. If you've entered a purchase price, that's used as the base. Otherwise we use a brand-tier estimate. It reflects a typical private-sale range, not a guaranteed price.

How do component wear thresholds work?

Each component (chain, tires, brake pads, cassette) has a standard replacement interval in km. TriCloset tracks distance since your last service and shows a color-coded progress bar. Click 'Mark serviced' after a replacement to reset the counter.

Can I use TriCloset without Strava?

Yes. You can sign up with email and password and track gear manually. Strava sync is optional but gives you automatic distance tracking.

Is my data private?

Your activity data is only used to calculate wear metrics for your own gear. We do not share your individual activity data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
